Tilt-shift

Tilt-shift is a photography term that basically makes the portrait look like a small scale replica of the real thing, except for that it is the real thing.  I saw photos using tilt-shift in a studio in downtown Phoenix during a First Friday event.  The photos were of places around the valley and it was very cool to see them from this perspective.  Below the fold is a video that shows this technique in action and you can watch more of this artist’s videos here. What was I thinking?

Remember last year, around the time Dennis and Stacey got married, that I heard a story on NPR about working in Antarctica.  Remember how I looked into this and did some research.  Remember how clueless I was about how cold it would be.  Well, if I had gone forward with this, below the fold is a sample video of what life would have been like.
