Today I went to the food stamps office for the second time to attempt to get food stamps. The first time was a hit and miss. I got shot down by the person at the front desk for I was told that I needed to write down my roommate’s names, I needed bank statements, rental agreement, utility bills, passport/ssn card, and who knows what else. Needless to say, I was a bit pissed for the application did not state that any of this was needed. Continue reading 2nd times a charm

On Thursday, Steve and I planned to go to the First Thursday art walk in the Pearl District. However, just before I left for work, Maria, my VISTA leader, mentioned that she was going to the soccer game that night. What, what, what???? There’s a game tonight? When I got to Steve’s, I bring up the game and he is all for seeing it, so off we go. Yeah!

I am getting a blackberry for my job. They are phasing out land lines due to cost so I am finally going to get a blackberry. Hopefully I will not become addicted to it.
Today was my last day of training and I finally start work tomorrow. In case you were wondering I have been training for nine straight days. Yes, I am a bit exhausted. You may be wondering what I have been doing these nine days. Well, let me try to tell you.
