Freaking out! Freaking out! Freaking out! Freaking out! So tonight while spacing out in the shower it dawned on me that I only have two days of work left. No freaking way! I knew that I was leaving town on Saturday and I have been spending my energy focusing on that day so the last day of work has not been a [...] Mary Rose helped me develop an alter ego named Sinister J. Or, maybe he has be there all along and he has finally been allowed to surface. Either way, he exists and has yet to be spotted in the wild. Until now. For my b-day I bought a new battery for my 3rd gen ipod. I got the ipod in 2003 and this is the second battery replacement. The first replacement I sent off to a place in California to have them replace it for me. This time, I figured I would give it a shot since it is a miracle that the damn thing is still running. It is that time of year again. Time for me, and my short attention span, to find something new to do. As I mentioned before, I have been looking for jobs but have not had any luck yet. For a while it looked like I was going to get a limited duration contract for my current job, but that fell through after 9% state budget cuts. I have been looking all over the country and also all over the world with groups like the UN. Well, as of last Monday, my hunt is over. I have a job and it starts at the end of August. Yeah! Humpty Dumpty is worth more than I was expecting. Yeah! Couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Or at least, it was not cost effective, so they totaled him. Now I have to wait to see how much Humpty Dumpty is worth to the insurance company. |
