This is what I said on Monday night when I woke up to a loud pop in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, I immediately knew the cause of the sound.
Crash. Bang. Boom. Sizzle. No more. I left my computer plugged in to recharge so I could use it at Susie’s on day two of tech support. As a result, my universal plug adapter got fried on Monday night.
This, by itself, is not so bad for I can get one in the big city if need be. However, it is quite possible that my laptop power adapter is also a goner. When I woke up in the morning, there was a pool of gooey liquid laying under the adapter and it had that nice electronic burn smell to it. Luckily, my computer still works – I turned it on using the battery and it booted up just fine.
I am going to meet up with Amy this weekend to use her plug adapter and test if the computer power adapter is still good. Keep your fingers crossed.
In the meantime, Bondo has a laptop at home that I can use, but I will not be on as much. If the news is all bad, there will be very few posts from me until I get home. Also, no pictures for I have no way to load them online and no way to recharge the camera batteries. Luckily, I will be home in about three weeks so it is not too bad.
I am deathly afraid to leave anything plugged in now.
