None for you

Consistency is not something you can rely on here. Like always having power. Or water. Or internet access.

Since being in the training school in Kutaisi, we have lost power three times. Once, most likely, due to a major storm. The other two, who knows. The power has been out from a couple hours to more than eight. Sitting in a classroom that is warm with no air conditioning really makes it hard to concentrate.

As for the water, that is a little more spotty. There are times when there is no water for toilets but water for sinks. There are times when there is only hot water. For some reason, losing water for the toilets happens a lot overnight which makes it not pleasant going into the bathroom in the morning. We have been told that in the villages, they only get about four hours of water a day – two in the morning and two at night.

Internet is hit or miss. In general, it works. You may have to reload a page a couple times before a connection is finally made, but the page will eventually load. Basically, patience is key. And deep breathing.
