It is that time of year again. Time for me, and my short attention span, to find something new to do. As I mentioned before, I have been looking for jobs but have not had any luck yet. For a while it looked like I was going to get a limited duration contract for my current job, but that fell through after 9% state budget cuts. I have been looking all over the country and also all over the world with groups like the UN. Well, as of last Monday, my hunt is over. I have a job and it starts at the end of August. Yeah!
What is it? Where is it? What will I be doing? Patience. I will probably have to explain this over several posts. So until next time…
Just kidding.
Finally, I got a job teaching English through a group called Green Heart Travel. I will be teaching English in the Republic of Georgia. No, not Atlanta. The country. The one that was part of the Soviet Union. Here is a map to help you.
I leave on 29 August and will be there for the full school year. I do not yet know where I will be or what grade level I will be teaching. I will find that out as I get closer to my leave date. You can learn more about the program from the Georgian Government’s site for they are the one’s sponsoring these positions.
As I said earlier, I will write more about the program and such over several posts, so stay tuned.
