Today was the first day I have heard thunder in a long time. Probably the first time since I got to Oregon. Yeah, fun times. Saturday morning I was out on the porch reading (man, I love saying that). I look up every now and see lots of people coming and going. There is a cafe three houses down so there are a lot of people visiting there. I notice someone park in front of me and then a few minutes later I see them get in the car to go. Then I hear a crunch. The Rose Garden Arena will be open for people to come in and watch the game on the big screens and I think Mary Rose and Carlos are going to that. I am going to Jen’s house to [...] We have been in the house for a week now and so far it is soooooooooooooo much better than our last place. For one, it is nice not having to worry about sharing a wall with neighbors. It is so nice to sit out on the porch and read. I get distracted with all [...] We moved this weekend and it went pretty well. We got the keys Friday night and did one trip with clothes and other small things. I actually got 95% of all my stuff in that first move – not counting the bed. Continue reading Pale Blue Dot We got the keys to the house tonight and did a quick trip with out clothes and a few other odds and ends. Tomorrow we get the moving truck and pack up all the big stuff. The end is near and it feels so good! A couple of weeks ago Steve and I made it back to Silver Falls. We went there on his birthday but got there late in the afternoon so we had little time to venture. This time we left early and brought two of his VISTA co-workers along with us – Sharon and Heather. It was a great day for a hike and we all had a good time. |
