Snow!

Yes, it snowed today in Portland. First time this winter and we will have to wait and see if it is the last. Also I will have to wait and see if I have to go into work tomorrow or ‘work from home’.

Here are some photos (or view the photos here): The [...]

Amen

Most of us already know that it’s NOT socially acceptable to talk during a movie. But to those of us who weren’t born in a barn, these rude movie-goers are still a constant burden. It’s time to fight back, dirty.

Flock of Seagulls

On my walk to work I walk through a large parking lot that is used by a movie theater and the mall.  In the morning when it is empty, crows and seagulls fight over the food that was left in the parking lot.  It is so weird to hear the seagull sound in the [...]

Food Stamps

Came across an article about food stamps that stated “nearly half of all U.S. children and 90 percent of black youngsters will be on food stamps at some point during childhood.”  Another article states that “more than 36 million people use inconspicuous plastic cards for staples like milk, bread and cheese.”
