2nd times a charm

Today I went to the food stamps office for the second time to attempt to get food stamps.  The first time was a hit and miss.  I got shot down by the person at the front desk for I was told that I needed to write down my roommate’s names, I needed bank statements, rental agreement, utility bills, passport/ssn card, and who knows what else.  Needless to say, I was a bit pissed for the application did not state that any of this was needed. This weekend I heard some people talking about how their friends just went to China to teach English through the Peace Corps.  This caught my attention and I looked up the program online.  It looks like they teach at a college or university in the western area of China.  I would need to find [...]

I'm moving. Yeah!

Next weekend I will be moving into a 3bd/2ba apartment that is about 15 blocks from my office.  I am so looking forward to living in a home again and not just a room. Continue reading I'm moving. Yeah!

On Thursday, Steve and I planned to go to the First Thursday art walk in the Pearl District.  However, just before I left for work, Maria, my VISTA leader, mentioned that she was going to the soccer game that night.  What, what, what????  There’s a game tonight?  When I got to Steve’s, I bring up the game and he is all for seeing it, so off we go.  Yeah!
