I got a job over the weekend and I worked my first day today. I was trying to make it at least a year with no ‘official’ job, but I guess you can’t meet all of you dreams. Some of you have told me that you cannot see the pictures that I include at the bottom of some of my posts. Well, too freaking bad. That is your fault for this means you are using Internet Explorer (IE) you bad, bad person you! A couple of weeks ago, Linda and I went hiking at Pedernales Falls State Park. So far, this has been my favorite hiking spot. Two years ago this month I was in China. Man, it seems just like yesterday and, yet, it also feels like ages ago. The cashier asks, “Are you married?” Confused, I look up and ask, “Excuse me?” While my mom was here, Linda took us to a state park called Lost Maples. As you might have guessed, there are a lot of maple trees. Linda said that she tried to go there once in the Fall when the leaves were changing colors but the park was closed because there were so many people in it. While my mom was here, Linda took us to a state park called Enchanted Rock for a hike, which was about an hours drive away. There are several trails and we decided to take the summit trail directly to the top. Once you got on the ‘rock’, there was no trail. It was just a bare rock face that you had to walk up to get to the top. This part was fairly steep and we saw a few ladies trying to manage the hike in flip flops or platform sandals. I done gone and got me some health insurance. Woo-hoo! First off, you have to learn to say it the way that I say it. There is a ventriloquist that has been around for a long time named Jeff Dunham that has a puppet called ‘Jose Jalapeno’. If you watch this video you will here him say ‘jalapeno on a stick’ – this is how I pronounce chainsaw on a stick. Ok, now that we are on the same page. Well, Ike decided that he was to busy to stop by so we got nothing on Saturday. Some wind, no rain and a mostly clear sky. Of course, I am not complaining. |
