itunes 7 blows

Just needed to get this off of my chest.

I have been trying to burn CDs lately and it is amazing at how freaking slow the new itunes has become. First, it takes at least a couple minutes just to open. Then, when I insert a CD, itunes may or may not add it to its list of devices. If the cd does show up, I can burn it just fine. But when I go to eject it by pressing the itunes button the cd ejects and then itunes just hangs for several minutes. I get impatient waiting for something to happen and just kill the service.

Overall, I have found that the best way to record a cd is to close itunes, insert the cd, when the ‘what do you want to do’ window appears, select import into itunes and then take a break and go do someting. Come back about 5 minutes later and itunes should be open and ready to record. After recoding, just close itunes and start the process all over again. Note, sometimes after closing itunes, the service takes up 100% of my cpu, so I have to kill it yet one more time.

I even downloaded itunes again and reinstalled, but to no avail. I looked online and others have complained about the bugginess of version 7. Hopefully, a fixed version will be released soon. I have been using itunes since it came to the pc, but this is enough to make me look for something else.
